The Power of the KING, written and created by Gina Boe and Barb Dorn, revolves around radio station K-I-N-G. A major winter storm is threatening to shut down the entire state. The power grid is failing all around, and highways are closing due to dangerous road conditions. A bus transporting a children’s choir on their Christmas tour is stranded by the storm, so the choir takes refuge at the radio station. The timing of the winter storm couldn’t be worse, as the station’s power goes off just as they are about to broadcast the annual Christmas show. Unable to play any recorded music due to the limitations of the backup generator, the radio station staff hastily scrambles to put together a live radio broadcast telling the joyous Good News of the Christmas story, with the help of the stranded children’s choir!
Time to crown a new champion. March Madness has got nothing on this! You've been training all year (or not) for your shot at greatness.....and that coveted trophy.
The Grace Point Warriors annual Cornhole Tournament will be Friday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Let's make this an opportunity to grow by reaching outside the church! Bring a friend, a coworker, (or both!) and join us for an evening of FOOD, FUN, and FELLOWSHIP. The $5 entry fee includes all three!
Last year's champions were Curtis Scott and Andrew Spiris. Do they have what it takes to do it again??
I hope to see all of you there!!
Freedom Finders is a connect group which will focus on helping those who suffer from addictions (in the broad sense), alcoholism, or other spiritually inhibiting life trauma, find freedom in a twelve step application that is Christ centered and scripturally supported. It is the goal of these weekly meetings (each Thursday night at 7:00 PM) to help people find freedom from bondage through an understanding of their righteousness in Christ, and joy in the truth, resulting in their ultimate peace. Our initial study material is "Stop The Madness; Finding Freedom from Addictions" (Serenity House). Contact Paul Hook for more info at (423) 476-4860 or by email at email@example.com.
